Well the kids are doing great. Madelynn is growing fast and Sylus is adjusting to having a sister. Things are getting back to normal. It kinda feels like maddie has always been here. I plan on trying to go back to work part time next week. I am kinda getting cabin fever. The kids will be home with pat and not at daycare so it will be easier for me to be away from them knowing that they are not with strangers. Pat is on the three week count down for graduation and I have never been more happy that it is almost over and "real life" can begin. lol Anyways! Hope everyone is well. And if you havent already, give my mom a call and tell her that you are thinkin or praying for her. She needs the support as she is really having a hard time. Love to all! As we move on....

Our little Maddie-Boo (as I have come to call her) is doing well. She has not lost her umbilical cord yet, and I think her hair is thinning. At this rate she wont have more hair than papa did for long. Lol I know it takes a while for newborns eyes to change to their permanent color, but I m thinkin her eyes are going to be green or brown. Which is neat cause pat's mom's eyes are brown and my mom's eyes are green. Maddie basically sleeps most of the day and she is definantely an oinker! She eats so much its a wonder I have time to do much else but feed her. :) Thats ok though, as long as she is healthy- I m happy! While Sylus took his nap yesterday pat and I put a blanket down on the floor and had some "tummy time" with maddie. It was nice for bonding too! She is very alert and content. Well anyways, I dont even know if anyone will read this but its helping me find something to do to keep my mind off loosing dad. so if you are reading this I "thank you". And once again as dad would say... As we move on. Love to all!

Maddie Is doing great. We made a trip to Eugene this week how ever it was not a "happy" visit. My step dad, who I have so lovingly called dad for the past 6 yrs. passed away this week. His heart in my opinion was simply broken after the loss of his amazing son Bryan. So even in the dark of this happening I find a light knowing that they are together again in heaven. My son Sylus has not been able to understand why papa was not home this weekend. How do you tell a 2 yr. old that his papa went to heaven...? I guess ya just do. Even though Brent was only my step dad for 6 yrs. he ment so much more to me. He was most definantly the most amazing man I ve ever known and probably will ever know. I am so saddened by the fact that my daughter Maddie and Bryan's daughter Lily Mae will not have the chance to know him in life. So I guess it will be up to all of us to keep his love and kindness alive for the children. As dad would say, as we move on. (Tears)

Madelynn Rose Ball

Born February 2, 2009 at 4:34pm. 8 pounds 4.6oz. 20inches long. She is very healthy and happy. She has been breast feeding and sleeping well. Pat and I are both up here at the hospital together taking care of our beautiful daughter. Pat has been changing diapers and rocking her to sleep, he is a great dad! We love you all.
